Backup Databases (Action)

Backup Databases is an action that allows the ability to make duplicate copies of project database files. To do a backup of your database, do the following:

  1. Attach the backup databases action to an object.

  2. Click the Configure button.

    Note

    The default value is internal database backup.

  3. Select which database, Database, Audit Trail or Non-volatile database, to be included in the backup process.

    Note

    If the chosen folder is restricted to administrators, the OS might store your file in the %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore folder instead.

    Note

    At least one database or more must be selected in addition to the backup destination.

    Note

    If the chosen folder is restricted to administrators, the OS might store your file in the %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore folder instead.

In runtime, on a PC or HMI panel, once the backup action is invoked, a message is shown indicating that the PC or HMI panel databases are being backed-up.
