Trends, historic or real-time
Trends are used to show changes in numerical values in an easy to understand graph. The trend is time based and can sample values as fast as once per second. The trend values are stored in the project memory of the EXTER panel. The operator can choose to display the values as the come in, real-time mode, or over a time period, historic mode. Several pens can be displayed in one chart allowing the operator to compare values, for example temperature and pressure, during a process. The trend files can be uploaded to a PC with the utility software or any FTP client, or sent as an e-mail attachment as a detailed production report.
