iF product design award

The iF product design award was introduced in 1953 and is annually conferred by the iF International Forum Design. The iF award is regarded as one of the most important international product design awards. Every year it attracts more than 2,000 product entries from around 37 nations, which are judged by renowned experts, with the best of them receiving an iF seal of outstanding design quality.

When introduced to the market, the EXTER series won the 2005 iF Product Design award. The design of the series elegantly combines optimal ergonomics with high functionality and user-friendliness, setting a new standard for a new generation of HMI. The EXTER K30, a later model added to the EXTER line, won the 2006 iF Product Design award.

The EXTER series was designed in cooperation with industrial designers from the Zenit Design Group , who specializes in developing visionary and intuitive product design – a perfect match for Beijer Electronics’ commitment to innovation and user-friendliness.
