Password security
With passwords, different objects and keys can be protected against
unauthorized use. Up to eight levels can be used to give different operators
different authorizations. Blocks, function/touch keys and maneuverable objects
can be allocated security levels. Each security level is associated to a
password. To access the different levels the user must login to the EXTER panel with a password for
the relevant security level, or higher. Logout is either done via a key on the
terminal, on a signal from the PLC or on a time-out.
