CIMREX Tools - utility software

The utility software CIMREX Tools consists of four different programs, used for communication between the PC and the operator terminals.

Recipes, trends and alarms

With the CIMREX FTP Client program and the CIMREX Tools File Transfer program, recipe files can be transferred from the EXTER or CIMREX operator terminal to the PC for backup or editing, either directly in the program or in Excel, for example. Thereafter the new recipe can be loaded back to the operator terminal. Also trend files can easily be collected from the operator terminal to the computer, for use in different types of programs. The alarm list with all incoming alarms can also be transferred to the computer.

HTML files and Terminal applet

When the operator terminal functions as an FTP server it is possible to upload/download files to/from the operator terminal via FTP. To upload/download files it is necessary to have an FTP client program in the PC, e.g. the CIMREX Tools FTP Client. HTML files and terminal applets for the web/network functions in the operator terminal can be downloaded to the operator terminal with the CIMREX Tools FTP Client program.

New system program in CIMREX operator terminals

Thanks to the flash memory, the operator terminals can easily be upgraded when new system program versions with new functions and features are released. The CIMREX operator terminals are upgraded with the CIMREX Tools System Loader program.

Modem management

The communication between a PC and an operator terminal can be handled via modems, for example to download new projects in the operator terminal or collect files from the operator terminal. With CIMREX Tools Connect such a communication can be established.
