Recipe management
The Recipe management function enables all the dynamic data in one or more blocks, i.e. the signals and their values, to be saved to a file in the EXTER panel. The operator can then download the files to the controller, which will start working with the new values. The operator can easily change the parameters, and it is possible to reuse large sets of parameters.
The user can create recipe libraries consisting of files containing different sets of parameters. This function improves the efficiency of time-critical productions where the exchange of similar products must be done quickly, such as in the manufacturing of units in different colors.
Recipe files can be created from the panel, the controller, or from a PC with the utility software CIMREX
Tools. From the PC the recipe files are down- and uploaded to the terminal with
the utility software or any FTP client. Recipe files can also be sent
from the operator terminal as attachments with the e-mail function.
